Yamaha PM1000 input modules can vary in the parts used depending on the year manufactured.
I thought I should share a bit more than some of the plain photos that have been here forever.
Let me apologize in advance for not knowing the right names for some of these parts,
I'm still learning the basics...

In the first photo below, the bottom input module is from a very early run (most likely 1974 or 1975)
and is easily identified by the square Tamradio (Tamura) input transformer mounted directly on the PCB.
The fader is also a very unreliable, difficult to maintain sliding potentiometer.
This module was removed from a chassis with the serial number 1134.

The center input module is the more common round transformer (I've read elsewhere that they are still Tamura)
mounted to a now black metal frame and a round potentiometer that rolls along the bottom of the "fader."

The top input module is a mash-up of the bottom two.
My personal sonic preference is for the older square transformer and the newer fader design.
As you can probably assume, the output buss modules also vary in the same way (transformers and faders.)
I'm currently recapping both vintages of input modules to see if
my preference for the older remains the same... to be continued...
